The world today doesn’t recognize or value its spiritual visionaries.

This time on earth, where visionaries are ignored, is a sign of the darkest period in the current incarnation of humanity. Without them we have no access to the wisdom of the inner worlds because it is the visionaries who weave the light from the inner to the outer, creating patterns that hold and nourish the growth of our culture. Without the visionaries that weave the light between the worlds our current culture will collapse, dying from the inside where the light that feeds our collective soul is no longer present. The visionaries are those who steer our collective evolution, guided by the wisdom of the gods, weaving the sacred threads of light into life itself that it may grow and thrive. What terrible fate awaits our world in this time of utter desecration of the sacred inner light?

Where are the Oracles?

History has been shaped by those who have experienced powerful visions. Thoth, the ancient Egyptian scribe, was thrown into a world of visionary wonder and birthed the first seeds of wisdom that gave birth to Western civilization. The ancient Greek philosophers would not have existed were it not for their oracle Pythia, priestess to Apollo at Delphi, and the oracle of Dione and Zeus at Dodona in Epirus. The fathers of Greek philosophy such as Empedocles and Parmenides performed elaborate sleeping rituals in which they visited the spirit realms and conversed with the gods of antiquity. Yes, conversed with the gods.

The bible is littered with accounts of people receiving communication from God through dreams and visions. In the Old Testament, these visions and dreams were considered so important and their absence was a cause of great concern for the ancient Israelites. The word “visions” occurs 86 times in the Old Testament and 17 times in the New Testament. The word ‘dreams’ or ‘dream’ occurs 87 times in the Old Testament and 8 times in the New. The transcendent was accessed through dreams and visions and these sacred dialogues were treated with great respect.

Genghis Khan claimed that he had many dreams sent from Tengri, or “The god of eternal blue sky”, who told him that the world would one day kneel before him. Carl Jung, a modern messiah, journeyed with the ‘spirit of the deep’ and gathered the remedies for our our collective symbolic nourishment for the Western psyche.

Yet today we act as though this is all stuff related to an ancient past and not worth consideration by a Western educated mind. We fear that which our ancestors claimed to be the source of their wisdom, inspiration and decision-making. We fear the very thing that our ancestors believed to have been the primordial source of all wisdom. These are tales of a forgotten history of the modern world and the fact that they are foreign to us is a sign of our impoverished inner world. These stories are the very substance that nourishes the flame that is the lifeblood of humanity, but we have lost our sacred source of rebirth and renewal.

We Deny the Existence of Life Out There

Our terrible fear of all things other than a Newtonian world has led us to believe in the utterly illogical and unintelligent notion that we alone are the only living and intelligent beings in the universe. Our assumption is that if we cannot see it and measure it then it does not exist and it has no real meaning at all.

Logically there is an absolute certainty that we are not the only civilization of sentient beings living on one of an infinite number of planets in an infinite universe. Our universe is alive with possibility. Like a fractal, all forms exist within an endless variation to infinite ends. There cannot be any end to the multitude of life forms that could exist out there and there are multiple dimensions too. We are but one dimension, one tiny reflection of the universal law and we stand here in this moment of time and space and we stand in this present age and claim to know the truth with such deep arrogance, such powerful belief, that we don’t allow our minds to see beyond the world of form.

And here we are. We exist, of that we can be sure. We share in the experience of being human but are terrified to look beyond the physical veil. Not only do we not want to acknowledge anything outside of our earthly planet, but similarly we refuse to look deeper into our collective and universal psyche. In the West, we don’t have the foggiest idea about who we are. We can explain everything quantifiable, we allow ourselves that small pleasure. We allow ourselves to invent things and to live dull lives filled with 10,000 useless things and yet we know less today about who we really are than ever before.

Direct Revelation

In ancient times we had a relationship with dreams and visions, but today we are disembodied spirits experiencing a shallow and utterly superficial fragment of the human condition. This is not only very boring but it’s dangerous too. Our Western leaders are disembodied souls who don’t understand the power that underlies all life, purposefully ignore it for the sake of hanging onto archaic systems of worldly wealth and political power. Yet our world is still filled with people experiencing visions, having prophetic dreams, of trans-dimensional communication with beings from other realms, both angelic and godly or even extra-terrestrial. The stories these people tell are vast and deep treasure troves of knowledge. But we discount these tales as nonsense.

Similarly in our uniquely Western spiritual tradition of Christianity there are many accounts of those holy enough to have had direct experiences of God, of Christ, of angels and demons. There are countless detailed accounts of direct revelation, direct experiences of this mystical king who walked the land not very long ago. The very source of our Western religion is based on a living relationship with god and the angels and yet somehow we lost our ability to communicate with the divine, with the spiritual, the transcendent, the angelic, the otherworldly and perhaps the extra-terrestrial gods. And look where we are now. What fruits has our supposed enlightenment brought to the world other than desperate inequality and rampant materialism that is eating the earth alive.

Multiple Realities Intersect

In the Judeo-Christian worldview that dominates the Western mind we believe that the earth is the only planet in the universe that holds life like us, capable of knowing God. There is a fundamental belief underlying western culture that we are all there is. In the entire universe. Even though logically (the very art that gave rise to Western culture) this is utterly impossible we choose to allow this little lie to rest beneath and hold the tenets of our core belief system. Then to take it one step further, not only do we banish all potential alien life out there in an infinite universe but we also colonize the afterlife with our peculiar attachment to heaven and hell. Of course, I hear you say, I don’t believe in that nonsense. But if you’re honest with yourself and look deep into your mind, this imagined reality of the afterlife leading to heaven or hell, or nothingness is a pretty well-planted seed and it scares you when your mind is softened and you doubt.

So we populate the entire universe with only ourselves and we claim the entire afterlife too by asserting that there are only two options. Down to Lucifer in hell or up to St Peter in heaven and the angels. Unless you belong to some ancient pagan culture, which is awfully few of us, or have borrowed your beliefs from an Eastern source, your Western mind is either atheist (I will not think about an afterlife) or Christian. Lucifer and St Peter, are they angel and demon? If you believe in that then you believe in other dimensions and you have an innate geography of an afterlife that is inhabited by beings of subtle dimensions or higher spiritual realms. The same question comes back: Do we really believe in only two aspects to the afterlife or does the afterlife also have an endless variety of forms, beings and dimensions?

There is no spiritual wisdom for the masses of the West besides Christianity and unfortunately the mindset has completely cut itself off from the wisdom, particularly the wisdom from the past that was brought by the Greeks and then by the teachings of Jesus. What christianity has done is to colonize the mind of the West with a spiritual tradition that is utterly limited and lands us in a dead end. The figure of the Christ, the living Christ that is accessible within us and is a living stream of spiritual regeneration and enlightenment, the true embodiment of the Western spiritual potential, has been left to die on the cross.

What are we so terrified of?

For all our greatness in science, medicine, engineering, art and music, why are we so terrified of the transcendent and otherworldly? Why do we guard our material and political world so closely and yet give everything transcendent away?

There is something dreadfully wrong with the Western collective mind and soul. We look at America and see a reflection of our spiritual deadness in their media, but in reality its not America but all of the Western world. It’s all collectively devoid of the wisdom of the soul. It’s devoid of spiritual leaders who have been ignored because their wisdom doesn’t show a profit on the balance sheet. Somehow we have managed to make life all about ourselves, about individualization and about everything but spirituality and this is why we are dead, dying and on our way to out. The Western way is a failed civilization that has given up its soul purpose.

We live, eat and breathe a materialistic world in the West which is devoid of spirituality and the transcendent and so we have cut ourselves off from myth and imagination, from the possibility of even hearing the messages from the spiritual world or from other life forms that may be trying to communicate something valuable to our planet.

The problem is that we in the West with our materialistic worldview are no longer confined geographically but have colonized global culture. Western materialism is the culture of the earth today. It dominates all aspects of the world through the networks of money and political power. There is no more separation between east and West, we are on global community and we have no collective wisdom for how to take care of the soul. Not for our own soul or for the soul of the earth, of life. We don’t have a collective story to tell other than that the earth is falling apart under the weight of our rugged materialism. That is the story of our time: global ecological catastrophe as a direct result of our materialism, perpetuated by a humanity without a spiritual purpose and connection.

Standing at the Brink of our Decay

We are at the brink of the absolutely tragic loss of a connection to the thread of life that makes us human: our children. The primal forces of nature that we have ignored through our stubborn attachment to materialism are going to rise up and kill us. When our children die, then nothing remains of us or our lineages. We will be the fossilized remains of a species that once again rose up from this planet and then got wiped out. By all accounts of forbidden archeology it would seem that humanity has been doing this for a while now. Maybe Elon Musk will manage to continue building a colony on another planet, mate with aliens and start a new humanity, but that will be an extremely tough path. Those that leave the planet will almost certainly be devoid of the deep spiritual nourishment that we receive from the earth Mother and will evolve into some other form of humanoid evolution, but they will never be earthlings. For me, there is no future on earth unless we actually invite the sacred, the transcendent into our lives. To be intergalactic beings we will need to be able to communicate across dimensions, both within the heart of the earth where our sacred core is still connected (we are earthlings after all) and into the realms of the expanded cosmos, in physical and subtle realms.

Interplanetary Beings

We need to become interplanetary, intergalactic, conscious beings of a living universe.  We cannot afford to believe that our actions on earth go unnoticed or unfelt by other beings in our universe. Surely due to the imminent state of collapse of our planet we should recognize that we are a part of the intricate balance in the cosmos realizing that our actions affect our planet and all other planets too. Our wars reverberate through the cosmos and attract concern or attention. If we are to grow up as a species we will need to learn to discern who we ally with and pay attention to our role in the greater spheres of life out there.

As earthlings we are most powerful when we connect to the soul of our earth, to the sacred, and integrate our ancient ancestral knowledge and wisdom into the present moment. We have forgotten this.

Our mature response to the alien, the transcendent, the ancient, is to realize that we are all in this together and that our lives are inextricably connected in the underlying oneness of a living universe. All realms, all planets, all dimensions are a seamless oneness that we cannot continue to ignore. For the planet to evolve beyond the current crisis we will need to step out of our closed spiritual states and awaken, learn to integrate our subtle and spiritual awareness back into life again. Then we can connect with our ancestors, with the earth, with the gods and with other races and become an intergalactic humanity, which is the natural path of our evolution.
